Unit 1: Family Living

Tiffani Harris

This unit helps teenagers explore what “family” truly means in a Christian context. Session one broadens the idea of family beyond biology, reminding youth that all people are part of God’s larger family and deserving of love and care. Session two helps teens discover the roles and gifts they contribute to family life, showing how responsibility and service strengthen both their homes and their faith. Session three offers practical guidance for healthy communication—an essential skill during the teen years, when relationships are often strained. The final session invites youth to reflect on their commitments to both their immediate families and the wider family of God, encouraging them to respond with integrity, compassion, and renewed responsibility.

Unit 2: Basic Christian Beliefs

Natalie Nicholas Adams

This unit offers teens an accessible introduction to several foundational doctrines of the Christian faith. Over five sessions, students explore the meaning of God’s name, the identity and mission of Jesus, the work of the Holy Spirit, the purpose of Scripture, and what it means to be the people of God. Each lesson connects core beliefs to the daily lives of youth, showing how doctrine is not abstract but deeply practical. These studies help teenagers form a resilient faith by learning how Christian belief shapes community, guides conduct, and anchors them in God’s love and purpose.

Unit 3: Ecclesiastes

Rick Jordan

This unit leads youth into the honest, thought-provoking world of Ecclesiastes. Across five sessions, learners reflect on uncertainty, the passage of time, the value of wisdom, the courage required to live faithfully, and the pursuit of what truly matters. Ecclesiastes invites young people into a mature, reflective faith—one that asks big questions and resists simplistic answers. These sessions help teens wrestle faithfully with life’s complexities while discovering that meaning is ultimately found in trusting God and living with purpose, humility, and joy.

Unit 4: Missions — Risk Yourself for God

Carol Davis Younger

This unit invites teenagers to take seriously the call to risk themselves for God's mission in the world. Designed as a companion guide for service and mission experiences, each of the four sessions challenges young people to consider whether they will risk their familiar routines, their God-given abilities, and their deepest commitments in order to follow Christ more closely. Session one draws on Paul's example in 1 Corinthians 9 to help youth make the needs of others a higher priority than personal comforts, discovering that holy adventures await those willing to serve. Session two uses the parable of the talents to help teens see how risking their gifts through service can deepen their relationship with God, while session three draws on the story of the rich young man to invite teens to ask how God is calling them to change. The final session challenges young people to commit themselves more completely to God, grounding that invitation in Jesus' words that those who are willing to give up what they want in order to follow Christ will find the life they are truly seeking.
