Brief Description
Extensions is an undated adult Bible study resource which is organized by topic. Each book has five sessions with life-cycle options, complete with any needed reproducible handouts. The life-cycles are: Adults in College, Adults with Children, Adults without Children, and Launching Adults.
This study focuses on the ongoing character of the Christian life. The weeks you spend exploring this material, and doing the project, will reinforce the idea that following Jesus is a life journey.
Session One explores the idea of the Christian life as a journey, one with a purposeful end or destination.
Session Two helps us understand the meaning of living out God’s dream of an authentic community. God seeks to establish us as a people–the people of God. By gathering for worship, caring for each other, and instructing ourselves according to Jesus’ teachings, we constitute a community of faith.
Session Three invites us to follow Jesus. The invitation includes an expectation to share in the mission Jesus started and gave his life to make possible.
Session Four shows the Christian journey as a way of life that touches all aspects of our existence.
Session Five provides resources for meaningful living in the midst of questions posed by life.
