Description
Layers are added throughout this anthem, to create a potpourri of praise. Also, there are echo points that use varying dynamic levels to enhance the text. The instructions also call for rhythm to ad lib throughout, thus adding zest to this a cappella piece. Near the end of the anthem, there are four distinct ideas interwoven, bringing the piece to its end when all join back together in praise.

Editor's Notes
Since this piece invites rhythm to be added ad lib, care must be given to ensure that the voices are not covered. Even the rhythm instruments could be added in layers throughout the work, thus adding variety and interest. A special challenge, but highly effective one, would be to enlist choristers to play the rhythm as they sing. The echo sections need to be highly contrasted to achieve the full effect--let your soft be soft, and your loud be loud. Have fun and enjoy--and let the percussive nature of this anthem shine.
