What meaning can be assigned to life apart from consideration of death? To ignore death is to ignore the ultimate question of life's purpose. For a long time I have sensed that life and death are indivisible aspects of the same reality--namely, existence. But since Carole's death it has seemed imperative that I name that place where meaning is enveloped in mystery and that I embrace both meaning and mystery by faith.
From an intimately personal perspective L. D.
