Brief Description

This study guide helps individuals integrate the ideas and concepts from the book What It Means to Be Human into their everyday lives. The study guide is formed under four major headings—Guiding, Centering, Worshiping, and Responding. The Guiding portion of the book has three movements that provide the teacher with resources for group learning time. Each session includes activities that appeal to all types of learners. The Centering section offers the individual group member the opportunity to interact more personally and privately with the contents of the book.

It engages the learner in reflection, providing opportunities for sharing with the larger group when appropriate. Worshiping is the section devoted to giving ideas and suggestions for corporate and/or individual worship opportunities. The final section, Responding, is designed to motivate the study group to action. It offers possibilities, based on what they have learned together, for putting feet to their thoughts.
