FaithSteps curriculum materials seek to help teachers plan a healthy, creative, and effective bible study time with children. Preparing for the Journey is Bible study for teachers. Finding the Childs Place helps teachers understand how developmental issues affect the childs approach to the Scripture passage for each session. Guiding the Journey contains the unit introduction, session plans, resource pages. Teaching pages are included when applicable.
This unit focuses on people who helped prepare the way for the coming of Jesus. Isaiah, John the Baptist, and Joseph are featured. The unit climaxes with the matthean Christmas texts, which highlight Joseph and his role in the story of the birth of Jesus.
