We all understand what it means to fulfill our responsibilities. Parents have the responsibility to care for children. We have responsibilities to
care for others, perhaps an aging family member or a close friend. We
take care of responsibilities at work and at home, and we take care of responsibilities in the community.
This unit focuses on our responsibility to be good stewards by caring for ourselves, each other, and our world. We move from individual responsibilities to global ones. The first session discusses taking care of timenot only managing time efficiently but also making time for important experiences and relationships. Session 2 explores our responsibility to use our talents and spiritual gifts to build up the church as the community of Christ. Session 3 moves toward global concerns and centers on caring for our resources. To do so in a global society means we need to share our resources responsibly with others throughout the world. The fourth session focuses on a similar concern: taking care of the earth, preserving our world both for ourselves and for future generations. Finally, we turn our attention to caring for the gospel by sharing Christ through word and action.
