"Doing Missions Effectively" is a four session Bible study for adults, including learner's materials, teaching guides, and handouts.
Directions, examples, method, and heart are all needed for effective missions. This unit studies Scripture passages designed to help with effective mission work. May we learn and do.
Session One shows how Christ passes on the torch of obedience to the first disciples and to us. We are called to obey Christ, even as Christ obeyed God.
Session Two discusses Paul's transformation from a persecutor of Christians to a maker of Christians. However, that experience, as important as it was, did not compose the whole of Paul's Christian life. He continued to meditate on the meaning of Christ and his death and resurrection. Continually seeing Christ in his mind and heart continued to transform Paul.
Session Three focuses a group of people who spread out to different places to pass on the peace of God and the good news that God's kingdom is near.
Session Four shows how Paul uses a particular method to carry the Gospel to different cultures and different people.
