Family values has been a major issue for debate and discussion in our nation for the past several years. As one might expect, this idea means different things to different people. Of course, Christians seek guidance from the Bible in order to understand our attempt to understand what God wants us to value concerning our families and family life.
The power of Joseph's dreams sent by God is evident early on in the Scripture. Session One explores the roles dreamers play in our lives. Indeed, dreams and those who dream them are Gods gifts to us.
Session Two watches Joseph as he stands for something new, threatening the status quo. During this session we find Joseph committed to Gods greater purpose, even amidst the most trying of circumstances.
Session Three shows us that Joseph was faithful to his dreams and endured its adversities, even when he was forgotten. When is it difficult to keep faith during adversity? This session further explores the faith resources one draws upon during suffering.
Session Four examines how power can be used for redemptive purposes. God profoundly and subtly acts though gifted people, such as Joseph. in order to preserver the lives of others.
Session Five discusses the difficulty of reconciling with family. Reconciliation within a family requires trust, communication, honesty, and action. Joseph himself realized that his live was shaped by God, as a result he found himself able to forgive his brothers.
