Brief Description
"Where do we find hope in our wilderness?" It’s easier to speak in hopeful terms when life circumstances are going well for us, but we also live amidst the reality of controversy, family problems, financial crises, illness, and even death. Advent is a time when we can find hope, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

This unit focuses on the Hope of Advent. In the first session, we will explore our own anxious waiting for the Messiah’s appearing. Session two will guide us in preparation for the coming Messiah. Session three asks, "What if Jesus doesn’t meet our expectations?" In the fourth session, we focus on our responses to the announcement of Christ’s coming before the final session leads us to hope in the Christ child’s arrival.
